Rediscover what grounds you and grow from there—with personalized psychotherapy that meets you where you are.

From the outside, things may look okay—you’re showing up, getting through your days, doing what you need to do. But inside, something may feel off.
Maybe you’ve started to feel more overwhelmed than you used to, even by things that once felt manageable. Your capacity feels different, and that can be hard to make sense of.
You might be used to holding things together— supporting others, adapting, and finding a way through. But lately, it feels harder to do that in the way you once did.
There may be something behind it— a recent change, a shift in your health, or something unexpected.
Or maybe there isn’t a clear reason at all— just a quiet sense that something inside you has shifted.
If any of this resonates with you, you’re not alone.
At Alternative Roots Therapy, I offer psychotherapy for individuals navigating life transitions—especially those that can affect your sense of self, stability, purpose, and direction.
This is a space where you don’t have to work through it on your own.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists in Ontario (CRPO)— but first and foremost, I’m a fellow human, navigating this life for the first time, just like you.
In my work, I combine clinical training with lived experience. I understand what it’s like to face life’s challenges, feel overwhelmed, and navigate transitions that shake your sense of stability.
I’ve been through moments where everything felt heavier than I could have anticipated, and I know the courage it takes to reach out for support.
My approach is grounded, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique experience— you’ll always be met as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms or circumstances.

Choosing a therapist is an important decision. Beyond credentials and training, it often comes down to whether you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard.
My work is grounded in the belief that therapy begins with the relationship we build together.
I aim to create a space where you feel met without judgment or urgency — one that honours your lived experience, respects your pace, and holds your story with care.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, health changes, long-held patterns, or the emotional weight of holding things together for a long time, you deserve support that is attuned, authentic, and honours your dignity and autonomy.
I can appreciate that much of our inner world lives beneath the surface, shaped by years of experience, roles we’ve carried, and emotions that may have been set aside in order to keep going. In our work together, we can gently explore these roots and the impact they've had on you throughout your life.
My work is holistic and integrative, meaning we will focus on you as a whole person; including mind, body, and spirit. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, therapy is shaped around your values, your needs, and the stage of life you are in.
Sometimes, this may involve exploring long-held patterns.
Other times, it means making space for grief, uncertainty, or change—without needing to label, fix, or rush what’s unfolding.
Therapy is not about having all the answers. It is about walking alongside you, exploring alternative routes, and supporting a deeper sense of grounding, clarity, and connection — in a way that feels sustainable and true to who you are.
