Types of Therapy & Ways we can work together

Different Approaches, Thoughtfully Applied

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches depending on your unique needs, goals, and preferences.

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, therapy is tailored to support you in a way that feels meaningful and effective.

Some of the approaches I may incorporate include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. CBT can help you identify unhelpful patterns and develop more balanced ways of thinking and responding.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Supports the development of skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT can be especially helpful when emotions feel intense or difficult to manage.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

Helps you better understand, process, and work through emotions. This approach can be especially helpful in navigating relationship dynamics and deeper emotional experiences.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

A structured, evidence-based approach often used to support individuals in processing trauma. CPT helps identify and gently challenge unhelpful beliefs that may develop after difficult experiences.

Mindfulness-Based

Support you in becoming more aware of your present-moment experience, helping to reduce overwhelm, manage stress, and create space between thoughts and reactions.

Somatic (Body-Aware)

Explore how stress and emotions are held in the body. This can include noticing physical sensations and supporting nervous system regulation alongside talk therapy.

Strengths-Based

Trauma-Informed

Person-Centered

Narrative Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Focuses on the stories we carry about ourselves, supporting you in exploring, reshaping, and reconnecting with a more empowered and meaningful narrative.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Helps you navigate difficult thoughts and emotions with more openness and flexibility, while reconnecting with what matters most to you and taking steps toward a more meaningful, values-based life.

Meeting you where you are

A Flexible and Individualized Approach

These approaches are not used in isolation, and not every approach will feel like the right fit for everyone.

Therapy is adapted over time based on what feels most helpful for you, allowing space for your needs, goals, and experiences to guide the process.
